Concept art for Spider-Man: No Way Home shows Spider-Man in a web hammock above New York City. Tom Holland’s third solo outing as the wall-crawling superhero alongside his love interest, MJ (Zendaya), and best friend, Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon), has successfully captured the hearts of critics and fans alike. Released in the United States on December 17, the joint Marvel/Sony movie continues to rake in revenue at the box office, currently sitting at $1.3 billion worldwide, which is good for 12th on the all-time list.
After months of intense anticipation for the film, No Way Home picks up immediately where Far From Home left off after Spider-Man’s secret identity was exposed to the world by Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) and J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons). With Peter and his friends’ lives turned upside down, he turns to the sorcerer Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to cast a spell and make things right. Though this only ends up making matters worse when multiversal villains from previous Spider-Man films, Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), and Electro (Jamie Foxx), show up and start to wreak havoc.
Artist Maciej Kuciara recently took to Twitter to share more concept art for Spider-Man: No Way Home. The latest piece shows Spider-Man relaxing in a web hammock attached to the balcony of Happy Hogan’s (Jon Favreau) luxurious penthouse apartment overlooking a serene New York City at night. See the concept art below:
There has been a lot of Spider-Man: No Way Home concept art surfacing online in the wake of the film’s debut in theaters, including some from this same artist. Another piece of theirs depicts an early version of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange’s tussle over the cube, ending with the sorcerer trapped in the mirror dimension. While Peter and Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) seek refuge in Happy’s apartment to avoid the press, this image of Spider-Man in a web hammock did not make it into the finished film.
This newly released concept art also offers a great look at the swanky apartment owned by the Stark Industries’ head of security and former driver and bodyguard for Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), an illustration the movie’s production designers seems to have adhered reasonably close to. It’s currently unknown when the longtime MCU character Happy Hogan will be showing up next, though it could be the Disney+ series Armor Wars, given its relation to Stark tech. However, Happy can be seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home right now.
