WWE Ultimate Edition New Generation Arena review – Lyles Movie Files

26views

The long-awaited WWE Ultimate Edition New Generation Arena arrived last week.

Ever since Mattel revealed this project, I’ve been looking forward to it.

I backed it in time to get the Early Bird Macho Man incentive. He and the commentator table are arriving at a later date, which is kinda weird, but it’s always getting figures in the mail. And speaking of figures, I’ll have reviews of the UE Diesel and Doink soon.

I really dig the size of the ring and it was surprisingly very fun to put together. It didn’t take a long time to do and for the most part I didn’t need the instructions as it all came together intuitively.

Some highlights:

  • The ring skirts are made of a nice thick material that should stay in place without sliding down.
  • The ring apron engineering system was really smartly executed to prevent bunching in the middle of the ring.
  • Installing the turnbuckles and ropes was a lot easier than some other rings thanks to the turnbuckles being sewn on connected to the ropes.
  • All of the light-up options for the entrance are fun and the cloth black curtain was a nice touch.

So there you go. Really loved the effort Mattel put into this and am already looking forward to the next crowd funded project.

A step-by-step pictorial of it didn’t sound like the most exciting way to show this bad boy off so I also did a quasi-unboxing video of it where you can get a better sense of it in action.

This will be my main ring for anything in the late 80s-96 time frame so you should expect to see it in a lot of figure reviews going forward.
